BMEcat ETIM Validator 1.5

Verify if your BMEcat ETIM file is well formed and valid against the xsd schema and BMEcat ETIM International Guidelines.

BMEcat ETIM Validator

If you want to be sure that the product data file that you produce or receive is well formed and valid against the general or country-specific validation variants, the BMEcat ETIM Validator is the best way to do it.

Indicated errors

The validation of every ETIM BMEcat file is carried out on three different levels:

  • syntax of the xml file
  • validity of the xml file against the detected or indicated xsd schema
  • observance of additional rules arising under the "International Guidelines"

Errors are aggregated, showing the total number of occurrences and the line number of the first occurrence.

Validation

Validator service verifies if the uploaded BMEcat ETIM file is well formed and valid against the xsd file and "BMEcat ETIM International Guidelines for suppliers to provide product data". Country-specific validation variants are supported. The validator automatically detects the country and version of the "Guidelines" and applies the corresponding validation variant.

The following versions of "Guidelines" and country-specific validation variants are supported:

  • 5.0 (general, AT, BE, CH, DE, DK, EE, ES, FI, FR, HU, IT, LT, NA, NL, NO, NO_HVAC, PL, PT, RU, SE, SI, UK)
  • 4.0 (general, AT, BE, CH, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, IT, LT, NA, NL, NO, PL, RU, SE, UK)
  • 3.1 (general, AT, BE, CH, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, NL, NO, PL, SE)
  • 3.0 (general)
  • 2.2 (general)

Multilingual file support

BMEcat ETIM Validator supports multilingual BMEcat ETIM. The validation variant is automatically chosen for the default language, indicated in the validated file. If necessary, the validation can be carried out separately for every destination country by choosing the corresponding country-specific verification variant.
